Recipe for classic Italian Cream cake

If you’ve never had or made an Italian cream cake, you might want to check out the recipe over on SheSaved. Lots of pecans and coconut make this classic cake a popular dessert choice!

Top with a decadent cream cheese frosting and more coconut and pecans to complete the dessert. You can also serve it up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!

This is such a great dessert idea for the holidays especially for Christmas or New Year’s Day. Not only does it taste impressive, but it pairs so well with a hot cup of coffee and it’s a nice alternative to all the cookies this time of year!

Never had this cake before? It’s also the perfect ending to any Italian meal – spaghetti, lasagna, chicken parmesan. We like to have it several times during the year, but it’s such a great dessert to have on hand for company during the holidays.

While it is sweet, the chopped pecans help balance it out and provide just a bit of crunch for texture and added flavor.
