If you are looking to stock up on school supplies for next year on the cheap or want to donate to your local schools, be sure and keep a close eye on the Back to School section at Target. Different areas of the country may drop at different times depending on when their school year starts – my local Tampa store has select items already at 90% off.
But here in Tampa my son has been in school since the first week of August so we may be a bit early. But wherever you are, it’s definitely something to watch closely. Eventually this whole section needs to be cleared out for the next seasonal event to completely take over – HALLOWEEN! 🙂
For me it seemed to be mostly up & up brand items that were 90% off, but my husband & I love taking the opportunity to donate a lot more than we normally could at full-price to our local elementary & middle schools. If you don’t see signs be sure and check up at the scanner, just in case they are wrong.
Much of the up & up Back to School will not be stickered – so it’s wise to check up at the scanner anyway to make sure what you have interest in is in fact discounted..

In addition to traditional school supplies, we also see other items that Target stocks up on during Back to School season like Kleenex tissues, hand sanitizer and more that will also find it’s way to clearance. Most of these items can also be used year round, and should be stickered up to 30% off, like these Kleenex multipacks. We have coupons to use to save even more…
Ziploc 56 ct sandwich bags and 66 count snack bags up to 30% off down to $2.23. Even better, we have a couple of coupons out there for additional savings…
Hand sanitizers are another thing we typically see clearance on as well. Just 30% off for me right now, but we do have a stack for Purell that will make them as low as .66 cents if you find it too…
