Here’s wishing you all a very happy holiday! It’s been a LONG and stressful year for most of us, so I hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy time with family – even if it is thru social media. If you are doing any last-minute shopping – Target is open today, Thursday, December 24th. Store hours will vary, so you will want to call your local Target to see how late they are open. All Target stores will be closed December 25th for the Christmas holiday.
If you are looking to take advantage of the after-Christmas clearance deals- starting on 12/26, we should see all non-perishables, including decor, holiday apparel, holiday pet items and more all go to 50% Off. Food and candy typically drops to 30% Off the day after Christmas.
Here’s wishing you all a very Happy and safe Easter. Target is closed today and will reopen tomorrow, April 13th. While we should see all Easter decor go to 50% Off and candy & food items go to 30% tomorrow, Monday April 14th, I am not sure that will be the case.
Due to the circumstances this year I am just not quite sure what will happen. It may be slower to drop, or may just all drop at once, so we will have to wait and see. But if you are headed out to your stores next week for supplies, it’s worth a quick peek in Bullseye’s Playground and the Easter section if you have interest.
Hope you all are enjoying a Happy Valentine’s Day! And, just a reminder that tomorrow (2/15) is the day Valentine’s clearance will begin. You should see most Valentine’s Day items go to 50% Off except Candy which should be at 30% Off.
Some food items typically lag at 30% Off to start with too. Bullseye’s Playground Valentine’s Day items should drop to 50 as well. It’s a great way to stock up on non-perishables for next year- and you may even find a few goodies you can tuck into this year’s Easter Baskets too!
Just a heads up that some of you should find after-Christmas clearance up to 90% Off at Target today, Wednesday, January 1st. I am hoping lots of you will drop today, but if it doesn’t today, there is a good chance it will drop tomorrow – so keep a close eye on it.
Be sure and scan though even if your signs say 70% because you never know! They may just not have their signs out yet.
I love stocking up for next year at 90% off on things I can use next year, or even some items like gift bags that can be used for other occasions throughout the year. My store had tons of wrapping paper and I always stock up for the following year.
What can be found can vary quite a bit from store to store, and I love hunting when clearance goes to 90. My store had these sturdy, large 10×10 storage boxes that were just .65 each. These pretty boxes are perfect to store Christmas items and I plan to use them to separate my goodies in larger bins.
My store had all the holiday apparel moved back to the clearance section as well, including some really cute holiday baby items. There were some onesies, bibs and even Santa outfits that came with hats.
My local stores had moved all the Bullseye’s Playground items to the back of the store and they were at 90% too. There was quite a bit left and items will be as low as just .10 cents each if you are at 90 too.
Keep in mind some of the items I mentioned above might not have gotten moved back to the holiday clearance at all stores. So it can’t hurt to take a good look thru the regular aisles as well. You can also check up at the scanner if you find a goodie and want to make sure you know the price before heading to checkout.
Even if your store hasn’t gone to 90, be sure and check for food and candy which may be at 70% off for some of you too. My store had just tons of holiday candy at 70%. This will likely be the biggest drop we will see on food and candy, so if you see any you want, you might want to grab it before it moves off the floor.
I hope those of you out there who’ve been stalking the Target Christmas clearance find lots of goodies too! Keep in mind once your store hits 90%, the clock will be ticking to make room for Valentine’s Day items, so don’t wait too long to go!
If you are looking to take advantage of after-Christmas-Clearance – there are deals to be had both in stores and online. This year Target.com has a lot of online clearance with up to 50% Off thousands of items. There’s so much to choose from, including clothing, shoes, Christmas decor, holiday trees, health & beauty, and more. Here’s some quick links of the different departments for you to check out…
Shipping is FREE on orders of $35 or more, or choose FREE store pickup where available. And as always, if you have a REDcard you will get FREE shipping with no minimum and an additional 5% Off.
And if you are headed out to your local Target today – there is tons of in-store clearance to check out too. You should find lots of non-perishable Christmas items that were at 30 now up to 50% Off, including holiday wrapping paper, bows, ribbons, gift tags and more.
Keep in mind some of these items can even be used all year long – especially solid colored bows & tissue paper.
What is left at each store can vary greatly- but it’s worth taking a look to see what you can find. Watch for wreaths, tree stands, stocking holders, ornaments and other holiday items that you can grab now and use next year.
Or, if you want to replenish your ornament stockpile or just freshen up your decor, it’s a great time to do so.
It’s also a great time to stock up on other items for next year, including all kinds of string lights, outdoor decor and lighting, & even light projectors, also at 50% off today.
Remember that most holiday items do not get stickered – so if you want to know the price bring them up to a scanner. Or, if you have the Target App – give them a scan with that – as it usually does accurately reflect clearance pricing in stores. 🙂
Holiday Beauty Gift sets were 50% off in stores for me, and some of them can be given as gifts all year round or tucked away for Christmas next year. I was surprised at just how much my store had left, but if your pickings are slim, Target.com does have several sets from 30-50% off as well.
It also can’t hurt to check in the regular aisles too – as some items may have mistakenly been put back on the shelf or still haven’t been moved out yet. For example, all my holiday pet items were 50% off, but were still on an endcap in the regular aisles.
Holiday food & candy will only drop to up to 30% Off for most of you today and will probably sit for a few days. It will then usually drop to 50 when non-perishable clearance goes to 70.
If you are a fan of the seasonal Hazelnut M&M’s there is a nice printable coupon to save $1.00 on any TWO (2) M&M’S Hazelnut 8 oz. or larger. After coupon & clearance, they would be just $1.73 each, regularly $3.19.
Also watch for holiday- themed limited edition household items that will be 50% Off today. My store still had a lot of Kleenex hand towels & Glad Cling wrap and food storage containers that were all ringing up 50% off.
My store also had lots of Ziploc holiday containers at 50% off, and if you find the same there is a nice $1.00 on any TWO (2) Ziploc brand products you can use to save even more.
If you are wondering when the next drop to 70% Off will be – usually most stores sit at 50% Off for around 3 or 4 days and then will drop to 70% Off. And typically 2 days after that down to 90%. But stores are different – there is no universal schedule and some stores go sooner or later and you never know when Target will speed up the rate they clearance at. So if you have things you are interested in, the clearance is something to keep a close eye on!
