MAIL-IN-REBATES

MIR (or mail-in-rebates) can be found on different product websites, on products themselves, or sometimes on hangtags in stores. These are not as predominant as they use to be, but can be an easy way to get money back on products you purchase. 

Most rebates are now mobile friendly and are submitted thru different apps.

IBOTTA

The more offers you choose, the more cash back you’ll earn. Next, go shopping and once you’ve made your purchase, take a photo of your receipt and upload.

Earnings can be transferred securely to your Paypal account or donated to any school in America. Once your receipt is uploaded, ibotta will verify your purchase(s) and notify you anywhere from 2 – 24 hours that your credit is available. Ibotta only requires a $5 minimum balance to start redeeming your earnings, and as you redeem offers, your shelves will be restocked with new offers. And, one of the really nice things about the ibotta app is there are “any brand” offers for savings on items like bread, cereal, produce and more! Plus they sometimes offer bonuses for redeeming multiple offers to make for even bigger savings.

FETCH REWARDS

One of the easiest apps out there is called Fetch Rewards, and you can easily start earning rewards right away. This app rewards you based on a point system (1,000 points essentially equals $1). You can download the app at the itunes or Google Play stores and sign up in just a couple of minutes and be sure and enter the code VP5JJ BEFORE submitting your receipt to earn 2,000 points.

You earn points just for scanning any receipt from any  supermarket or drug store. Not only are you rewarded for every single receipt you scan, but there are also opportunities to earn additional points for purchasing specific brands).  You can scan up to 14 receipts in a one-week period, and your receipts can be up to 14 days old.

The brands tab will list MANY, MANY brands that qualify for extra point earnings when you purchase them. The Special Offers Tab will display bigger earning opportunities for points when you buy specific items.

While you cannot trade your points for cash, you can trade your points in for tons of other things like gift cards & more and you can redeem for rewards with as little as 3,000 points, including Target Gift Cards.

  3. HI COnnie- yes- they changed the terms without any info sent. We have been promoting a certain way because it was never in the terms – but now – yes they say you cannot use with a coupon.

  4. I was looking for the post about Shopmium from a few days ago. You must have pulled it as so many were having trouble with it. As far as I can tell, Shopmium now does NOT allow a coupon with any of their offers(small print under the offer). I found this out after purchasing 7 of the Playtex pads boxes. I did have coupons, some of them should have had the amount reduced, and 5 of them should have given the full $3, because they were the 6.99 size.
    They sent back that they were all denied, with a link to what was supposed to talk about coupons used, but it didn’t go there.
    I found on the site under faqs, coupons will result in your total being reduced possibly (so that had not been updated yet).
    So, I have an email into them with the faq page sited. Will see if they will reimburse for those, since they have not imformed people properly.

  13. Hi, so I tried to click on the link for the $10 MIR on the Smart Have products (i.e. the Quilted Northern) and it kept bringing up a page that said error. what am I doing wrong?

  17. Exergen baby thermometer on sale at target for $26. Buy 2 and ship to store. Get $10 off instantly. 0n exergen website there are 2 $10 rebates per item. So after savings and rebate, it’s like paying 6 bucks

  24. Hello, in the Pfizer rebate $6, do you know if they will accept 2 receipts for 3 items or do all 3 need to be in just one receipt? I tried looking for that information in the rebate form but cannot find anything specific. Thanks.

  27. Small boxes of Quantum Finish Powerball have little rebate tab’s on the boxes. You get what you paid back in the rebate, so freebie!

  36. i just went to print the hasbro rebate, you have it stated that it was good through 12/31 so when my target gave me a rain check for the games they were out of last week i bought them on the 27th, printed out the rebate form and it was over on the 25th.

  41. @Lauryn, it’s $25 before coupons. You don’t have to circle the coupons you used, just the before coupon price of the items you bought.

  43. I have never done a rebate before. When you circle the receipts for the products do you go by the price you paid after coupons? So for the P&G 5 off 25 you would need to spend 25 after coupons.

  44. @Priscilla- yes you can use gift cards you earn in one transaction to pay for the next and still get the gift card. the only thing you can’t do is use a gift card in the same transaction you earned it in. hth

  45. If I do the gillette/venus deal and get my $5 dollar gift card. Can I use that same gift card on the olay deal which also gives a $5 gift card?

  50. I found a great 20$ rebate on Recyclebank. It cost 100 points. I recently purchased a Soda Stream at Target when it was on sale for 89.99 with a 10$ gift card back. I also had a 10$ off coupon and used my red card. Now a 20$ rebate on top of that is great. Very happy with the Soda Stream too!

  52. There’s also a Neutrogena rebate going on right now. Buy $30 worth of products and get a $10 rebate, and it runs May 6, 2012, through June 6, 2012. There are certain restrictions, though, so check it out carefully. I know the Target in my area is discounting several of the Neutrogena Naturals line so you could get even more for your money!

  53. I got my $3 Lysol rebate a few days ago. I think my Neosporin check amount was what I paid using the coupon ($8.49) and NOT the purchase price circled. Free is still better than paying for it. I am going to get a new toothbrush and use the $10 rebate.

  55. I hope this is not a dumb question, but if I run out of room to write in the UPC numbers on the P&G form, should I print out a second form for the other numbers? Or should I write in the numbers underneath the last one? I just don’t want to do it wrong and have them reject my form. Thanks for the help!

I have a subscription to All You and I didn’t even realize there was a Lysol No-Touch Rebate form in there until I read this page. Even sadder is that I had already purchased two dispensers so I was already eligible for the rebate and didn’t even realize it. Now I have $3 on the way back to me. Yippee! Thanks so much! 🙂

  65. Quick question – I bought the Stomp N Go, but after I got home, I realized that the cover is Woolite Stomp N Go and not the Bissell. Bissell is written on the back of the box as distributer/contact. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this and if you got your rebate for it?

  72. Hi Kerry! I get inserts mailed to me from some family in California (yeah – lucky me! lol) and just wanted you to know that there was a MIR for Cars 2 on DVD or Blu-Ray from Rayovac. It’s for $5 with the purchase of any AA/AAA-10, C/D-4, or 9V-2 packs (or larger). There was also a $1/2 Q with it. Since my family sends it to me every couple of weeks, I’m not sure what insert it was in, but it had to be within the last few weeks. The great thing is that Rayovac accepts the UPC label from the Blu-Ray…which I gather means that one can do all three MIR’s because Kimberly-Clark accepts photocopies and the Proof-of-Purchase as does the J&J. I’m gonna do it! Do you want me to scan the rebate and email it to you?

  75. I found on the package a rebate for gerber yogurt blends snack with whole grains 4 pack. This is the only thing i don’t have to fight with my daughter to get her to eat she loves it. you need a receipt between 9/1/11 and 5/31/12 with a proof of purchase circled and 1 upc from a gerber yogurt blend snack with whole grains 4 pack. must be mailed by 5/31/12.

  83. Hello, I would love to have the BAYER ADVANCED ASPIRIN UP TO $3 MIR x9/30 and at the top of this page it mentions that it is in the SS 6/12/11 insert. I have 3 inserts and none of them have this MIR in them. I’m in Atlanta so do you think the inserts are regional?

  87. Hi I had a question regarding the Physician Formula i purchased at Target. There is a mail in rebate for the eyeliner. I had also purchased 2other PF items that had a B1G1 peelie on it, which instead took off the full amount on my rebate item. Should I even send out for a rebate since my receipt shows it was free? I’m worried that if I send it out they will just reject it. =T

  88. Found a decent deal on First Response Pregnancy Tests the other day… $2 Target Q + $2 MQ on a 2 pack… There’s a B1G1 MIR form in the box as well as a $2 MQ. So you should be able to get $4 off on each 2 pack… bringing the price down to around $4 each. I’m not sure if they’ll send back the full price for the rebate, because the receipt shows the price after Target Q is applied, but still a decent deal. $2 for 4 tests!

  92. Hi. I don’t see the Kellog’s Try me Free rebate for Crunchy Nut Cereal on here, but i have a question. Are these usually limited to one free product per household? Or could I go out and buy 5 boxes and submit them all at the same time and get a check for 5 free boxes?

    if you have enough for both rebates independant of one another than yes absolutely. while they are both from P&G you can still get both rebates. be sure to get them mailed by the correct date which is usually noted on the form. hth 🙂

  100. I am having a little bit of trouble with the $10 MIR for the $30 of covergirl products. I should have spent $30.24 before coupons (3 mascaras at $6.94 each and 3 eyeshadows at $3.14 each), however, I used target coupons and on the receipt, it looks like I spent $1 less for some of the items. I also think that not all of the coupons scanned correctly as I was charged for one of the eyeshadows even though I had 3 buy a covergirl product, get an eyeshadow free coupons, but that is a different issue.

    I took a picture of my receipt and wanted to see if you were willing to look out it and see if I need to buy more or if it is ok. I couldn’t find your email address. Please let me know where I can send the picture. Thanks so much!

  101. Yes Jennie, just circle the cost of the products before coupons. That is what I did and I got my check the other day. They ended up costing me about $2-3 total after coupons (including tax) and I got the $10 back 🙂

  106. Just wanted to let everyone know, I ended up paying nothing for the Schick Hydro razor after coupons and all. I circled the full price which was 7.99 and my check came today for 7.99. So, they seem atleast during the start, to be accepting the full price no matter of the coupons used.

  109. Lexi– Yes you can, manufacturer (1 coupon per product) and combine with the target coupn. However, the target coupon will say target coupon at the top. Sometimes target has coupons with their logo, but they are still manufacturer coupons. Also, make sure you are buy the correct product for the rebate. I believe this one is the wheel protectant? If it is, I used coupons on this rebate and received the entire purchase price of 7.99.

  110. I’m new to couponing, so I hope someone can help me out. I want to get the Armor All rebate. I have (2) $2/1 manufacturer coupons from facebook, and the $3/2 Target coupon. Can I use all 3 coupons and still get the rebate? Basically, I need to know if I can use a $2/1 MFQ on the wheel protectant and still get the rebate? Thank you in advance!

  111. In regards to the Armor All rebate…today I used a Target coupon ($3 off any two Armor All products) and a $2 coupon on Armor All’s Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/ArmorAll make sure you “like” them).

    I bought the wheel protectant ($6.99 so will get full reimbursement) and a small container of glass wipes ($3.99)…the wipes and several other cleaning wipes are currently reduced at my Target (NW Montana). When it’s all said and done, I should actually make $1…and my hubby will be thrilled with goodies for the cars! 😀

  112. I just sent my Schick Rebate off. I will let you know what i end up with (rebate or no rebate)……I received it all for free (including the shaving cream).So either way I can’t complain. The “any other offers” isn’t very clear on whether they mean no coupons or any other rebate offer.

  114. I was wondering when you send in for a rebate can you cut off the portion at the bottom of the reciept that has info on how you paid? You know the portion that has the last four of your card number, or can you black it out?

  115. I saw a “try me free” package of plasticware at Target today; didn’t buy it today, and can’t remember the brand name, but it’s a pack of plasticware that looks like silverware. The price was $3.99 and it was displayed on an endcap. I know I’m not helping all that much, but you can be on the lookout! 🙂

  117. I saw a mail in rebate sticker on Swiffer refills at the store tonight. Only glanced at it as I wasn’t buying the product. It said to go to swiffer.com to get the rebate form. Think is said buy $20 worth of refills get $10 mail in rebate. Don’t know details, but hoping you can find it.
